Where we have been.

Another week has flown by. We did a death march on We dnesday and picked up the new car. We sure were tired when we arrived back at the marina at 5 am Thursday morning. Rich has been working hard to complete all of items on our boat list. And just so know, I help!

Anna waxing the port hole screens.

I cleaned the port hole screens with steel wool, then waxed them.

I painted the port holes white, then I cleaned and waxed the port hole window frames.

Red boot stripe on Snow Goose.

Last, but not least I put two coats of paint on the red boot stripe.

It is amazing how quickly time flies. This week has been a blur. On Tuesday we expressed all of the paperwork in on the new house. They notified us on Friday, they're ready to close. Monday we will call to schedule the closing. Oh, and did Rich tell you we bought a car? Our old Jetta is on it's last leg and soon will retire to a car crusher. This week we will pick up our new used Volkswagen Jetta wagon. Hope that it is as good as the last one.

Our new Jetta wagon

Looks real nice!.

Rich and I celebrating with plum wine.

Rich and I celebrating with a bottle of plum wine. Our success has never tasted so sweet.

(from Rich: my God, what have we done????)

Well our first bid on the house in Michigan was not accepted, so today I put in a higher bid. Wish us luck.

The house on Rau Dr.

Hopefully, our future home on the lake.

Rich and I went the Oriental Rotary club marine flea market this morning.

The booths in LouMac Park.

Notice the very first booth is for donuts and coffee. Our favorite.

A table full of boat stuff.

This booth had a table full of goodies, including a furnace like the one we took out of Snow Goose.

A booth with lots of hardware.

This booth had lots of hardware.

Rich's finds at the nautical flea market.

Rich found several pieces of hardware at the booth. About $50 worth of stuff for $10.

A couple of neat anchors.

A couple of neat anchors - dinghy sized.

A hard bottomed dinghy for less than what we paid for our new dinghy.

A Caribe rib for less than we paid for our new dinghy - maybe we should have waited!
